SAT Results & Other Achievements
Gateway School achieves excellent SAT results in English, Maths and Science, outperforming the UK average, the Bucks average and the independent school average (IAPS) by some distance. This success is particularly satisfying because Gateway is a non-selective school helping children of all abilities achieve a high academic standard.
Understanding SATS Tables -
- Key Stage 2 SATS are national curriculum tests taken by children in Year 6 (age 10/11), the final year of primary school education in the state school system.
- According to the Department of Education, the ‘average child’ will achieve a middle Level 4 grade in Key Stage 2 SATs
- Level 5 is the highest grade attainable in Key Stage 2 scores. A child attaining a Level 5 score is judged to be working between 1 and 2.5 years ahead of an average child in the national cohort
