Gateway School Charity Work

Gateway School has a longstanding commitment to charity work, and we are extremely proud of our children’s sensitivity and thoughtfulness towards others who are less fortunate in life.

Every term we run at least one event to raise money for national and local charities that are nominated by the school. In addition, 20% of funds raised go towards the Nabbongo School in Uganda with whom we have long-established links.

Typical charity work or events might include

  • A mufti day when children pay £2 to wear their own clothes to school
  • Filling a shoe box with toys and books for disadvantaged children in Slovenia
  • Making food baskets for the local outreach centre
  • Singing at a local care home
