After-School Care


Gateway is open from 8am to 6pm for 47 weeks of the year.

During term time Gateway operates an extensive After-School Programme, offering parents flexibility for arrival and collection of children, safe in the knowledge that they are happy and well cared for.

Every school evening we offer a club for each year group; alternatively, children can choose to finish their homework in a quiet environment, then relax with friends up until 6pm.

Parents do not pay extra for their children to attend after-school clubs, which include:

  • Art
  • Board Games
  • Chess
  • Choir
  • Computer Club
  • Construction & Jigsaws
  • Cookery
  • Craft
  • Dance
  • Drama
  • Fitness
  • Football
  • Hockey
  • Japanese
  • Judo
  • Orchestra
  • Netball
  • Rock Club
  • Recorders
  • Rugby
  • Sewing
  • Sports
  • Technology Verse speaking
  • Warhammer
  • During the school holidays Gateway also runs a Holiday Care Club (Ofsted-registered), operating from 8am to 6pm. The holiday club is organised and run by a team of staff from the school, and is available for Gateway children from age three years onwards.The focus is to provide safe and stimulating play opportunities within a relaxed atmosphere.

    Holiday Care Club costs can be paid out of a salary sacrifice scheme from pre-tax earnings.
