National Curriculum and Beyond

We follow the National Curriculum, while expanding its scope substantially through extra-curricular activities to inspire children and develop their inherent love of learning. By creating links across academic subjects we teach children how to connect and apply knowledge spontaneously and to develop their own ideas independently. These skills are rare and valuable in the context of a wider educational environment that is increasingly prescriptive and exam-focussed.

Subjects taught at Gateway include Art*, Design & Technology*, English, French*, Geography, History, ICT*, Italian, Japanese, Maths, Music*, PE & Games*, Religious Education and Science

*Subjects taught by specialist teachers from Reception (4 years )
