Us’ is a recurrent theme because it sums
up everything about Gateway. It is a community -
I know all the children and most of the parents
by name, and they know me.
Gateway is definitely an ‘US’.

A Supportive Personal Approach

Gateway offers a broad curriculum in a positive stimulating environment. A strong commitment both to academic and creative subjects is balanced with practical and physical activities, ensuring all children will discover their areas of talent, build self-confidence and achieve their potential.

A friendly flexible school.

As a family run school, we work extremely hard to make our children and parents feel secure, comfortable and welcome at all times, operating an ‘open door’ policy where parents and children can talk to staff about anything at any time.

Celebrating achievement.

Recognition of every child’s daily achievement is integral to Gateway’s approach. Our intent is to develop each child’s faith in their abilities at an early age. With this solid foundation, Gateway children gain self-confidence and motivation needed to gain good results in national tests and to succeed in future challenges.

Supporting every child.

Gateway is a non-selective school that offers children a nurturing educational environment. Our teachers build strong relationships with every child in order to discover and develop their individual abilities. Small class sizes allow staff to devote attention to individual children, differentiating their teaching to ensure high achievement across the ability spectrum.

Going beyond the curriculum.

We follow the National Curriculum, while expanding its scope substantially to inspire children and develop their inherent love of learning. By creating links across academic subjects we teach children how to connect and apply knowledge independently.
