We are very proud to announce that Gateway School was recently selected as a finalist in the Muddy Stilettos School of the Year Awards in the Experiential Learning category. It was a tough field of competitors and sadly, this time, we didn’t win but we are pleased to have made the shortlist. We were recognised for our fabulous Farm School initiative that takes the classroom to the farm and enables children to experience additional hands-on learning whilst appreciating and benefiting from being at one with the natural environment.
Huge congratulations to all our fabulous staff who adapt and tweak their teaching to bring the curriculum ‘to life’ at the farm. But the biggest praise must go to Mr Dyson, our resident farmer and teacher, who makes it all happen. Well done team!
