Miss Emily Patten

Bringing 13 years of teaching experience to Gateway, Emily joined the school in 2025 as SENCo. She holds a BA (Hons) in Education from Cardiff University and a PGCE from the University of Birmingham. Before joining Gateway, Emily taught in several schools and most recently spent ten years at Norfolk House School, where she taught across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. During this time, she held a variety of leadership positions, including Head of Sport, Head of Junior Prep and, most recently, Head of Lower School. Emily’s wealth of experience and the leadership skills she has developed throughout her career enable her to work in close partnership with families across the school, supporting pupils of all ages. She is deeply committed to child development and passionate about fostering an engaging, supportive learning environment.
